A clown fairy in a world of normies; you can find Elsie gracing (and supervising) the Other People's Clothes floor. When she's not at the thrift, she's rules a world of whims; creating colorful textured art, photography and stylish ensembles that are nothing short of enchanting.
I talked to Elsie about her clown lineage and what it's like to start a production project with your best friend. She regaled me about the medieval revival of the 1960s... And soooo much more. Scroll to get inspired by Elsie's whimsical, true vintage looks.

Elsie was raised by a family of clowns.
It all started when her great grandfather ran away to the circus at 17. His act of balancing on two mules while being chased by a little dog in an alligator costume was widely celebrated, especially by his own family. From there, the practice and performance has been passed down from generation to generation. Elsie is now in possession of her family's harlequin heirlooms and wears them to perform and partake in the immersive clown scene of Bushwick.
